I write poetry about cars, I sing to them and talk to them just like a girlfriend. I know what's in my heart and I have no desire to change."

He added: "I'm not sick and I don't want to hurt anyone, cars are just my preference."

Mr Smith, 57, first had sex with a car at the age of 15, and claims he has never been attracted to women or men.

But his wandering eye has spread beyond cars to other vehicles. He says that his most intense sexual experience was "making love" to the helicopter from 1980s TV hit Airwolf.

As well as Vanilla, he regularly spends time with his other vehicles – a 1973 Opal GT, named Cinnamon, and 1993 Ford Ranger Splash, named Ginger.

Before Vanilla, he had a five-year relationship with Victoria, a 1969 VW Beetle he bought from a family of Jehovah's Witnesses.

But he confesses that many of the cars he has had sex with have belonged to strangers or car showrooms.

His last relationship with a woman was 12 years ago - and he could not bring himself to consummate it, although he did have sex with girls in his younger days.

Mr Smith, from Washington state in the US, kept quiet about his secret fetish for years, but agreed to be interviewed as part of a channel Five documentary into “mechaphilia”. He is shown meeting other enthusiasts at a rally in California

Talking about how his unusual passion developed, Mr Smith said: "It's something that grew as a part of me when I was a kid and I could not shake it.

"I just loved cute cars right from the beginning, but over the years it got stronger once I got into my teenage years and was my first having sexual urges.

"When I turned 13 and the famous Corvette Stingray came about, that car was pure sex and just an incredible machine. I wanted it.

"I didn't fully understand it myself except that I know I'm not hurting anyone and I do not intend to."

He added: "There are moments way out in the middle of nowhere when I see a little car parked and I swear it needs loving.

"There have been certain cars that attracted me and I would wait until night time, creep up to them and just hug and kiss them.

"As far as women go, they never really interested me much. And I'm not gay.”

Mr Smith is now part of a global community of more than 500 “car lovers” brought together by internet forums.BLACKSANDhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03539499768565218153noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1494119669028869238.post-8084978250246774102010-01-06T09:35:00.000-08:002010-01-06T09:52:23.843-08:00ARE WOMEN REALLY ATTRACTED TO MEN IN EXPENSIVE CARS??<img style="float:left; It is very ingrained and the evidence is not just anecdotal.

"Females focus on questions of wealth and status because if the male possesses those, that male would be in a better condition to rear healthy offspring."

Dr Dunn believes this basic human trait will not change in the future - even as women become more independent and wealthy in their own rights.

He said: "It appears that the stereotype of women being positively influenced by a man's status is true and, evolutionarily speaking, this makes sense.

"However, even with the growing number of women in high-paid careers and the fact that they can be highly successful has no effect on how attractive they are to men.

"What you find is that these new, wealthy women still show a preferment for high-status males."

Now his researchers plan to carry out further studies - to guide men buying expensive cars in their mid-life crisis.

Dr Dunn, who admits to driving an old Ford Ka, will examine if high-status items like expensive cars can help make up for "the attractiveness-diminishing effects of age."

In other words, do middle-aged men in expensive cars seem more attractive to women despite their grey hair and expanding waistline.

Dr Dunn admitted that his research could also be interpreted as evidence that women are shallower than men. He said: "Let's face it - there's evidence to support it."

AM NOT AGREEING WITH THE RESEARCH NEITHER AM I DISAGREEING lol, BUT IS THAT REALLY THE CASE, ARE WOMEN REALLY CONCERNED WHAT CAR A MAN DRIVES?? When the question of taking care of our vehicle arises, we do not really bother about servicing the vehicle unless it starts having problematic issues.

What many do not often realize, though, is that maintaining any car includes inspecting all basic parts and systems, giving any needed ones the required service necessary to save you from huge repair costs later on, plus to help with the prevention of future breakdowns.

There are lots of things you can do on your own to help your vehicle run better, not necessarily requiring a mechanic or service technician. See what you think of the following.

How To Prepare Your Car For The Winter Season:

1. Road accidents during winter are the primary cause of death in our country. It is advisable that you prepare yourself with an emergency kit in case such a situation arises. You should keep a flashlight, blanket, radio, first aid kits, jumper cables, some food and water inside your car. In case your car is stuck, you will need some of these items to stay warm and secure.

2. In case of heavy snowstorms or blizzards, you should remain inside your car. Do not even try to head to the nearest location by traveling on foot. Get your vehicle off the road and signal with your hazard lights. The need to save fuel is crucial but so is the need to stay warm, both for you as well as the car. Turn on the car heater at least for ten to fifteen minutes every hour. You should put up signs of help. Tying a piece of red or white material and switching on the dome light inside the car will allow rescuers to notice that you are in need of assistance.

3. Getting your antifreeze level checked by a mechanic is a must to prevent the car from freezing arbitrarily.

4. Check your batteries and ignition system. The battery terminals should not be corroded.

5. Carbon monoxide is prone to leak out from the exhaust system. Make sure you check the system for any kind of leaks and crimps.

6. The rest of the car's parts should also be in proper working condition so have this check by a service technician.

7. Having good quality tires set in your car is absolutely necessary, especially if you happen to reside or travel regularly in winter weather prone areas. Installing weather radials should suffice.

8. Maintaining half a tank of gas is advisable. It is important that you have enough gas to be able to take your car to the next station to get a refill. When it comes to being stranded, the whole situation is completely unpredictable.

9. Have enough warm clothes on you whenever you are driving. You must be protected against the bitter cold.

It is always better to be safe than sorry. By being proactive and taking care of a few main issues regarding your vehicle, you may save yourself from unpleasant and life- threatening situations. Regardless of who does what, make sure you winterize your car and follow the above guidelines.

Winter and Car Trouble

People need to take extra care of vehicles during the winter season. This does not mean that the car does not need servicing the rest of the year. But cold winters can be particularly hazardous and difficult for both drivers and passengers, as well as for other vehicles and passengers, pedestrians and others out on the roadways. It is a good idea to get your car thoroughly checked before any ice, sleet and snow arrive.

For more car care and repair tips, head to the Auto Experts at: http://www.autoexpertscolumbus.com and check out the specials in their free newsletter issues while you're there!BLACKSANDhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03539499768565218153noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1494119669028869238.post-24587054144379702432009-11-30T15:28:00.000-08:002009-11-30T15:31:42.408-08:00Cheap Car FinanceThese days' cars have become one of the most necessary things in the world. Nobody can live without a car these days and everybody wants to own his/her personal car so that they would have the freedom to go anywhere quickly to save a lot of time. This is because public transport takes a lot of time taking a person to his destination. Many people have become fed up of the public transport and want their own transport so that they would have full control over it and drive it wherever they wanted to. Suppose a person has to reach a place very urgently, then he cannot rely upon the public transport. He has to take help of a private transport so that he may reach his destination in time. Cheap car finance helps a person to buy a car with the best deal from the market and also guides a person to find the best dealer available in the market.

Cheap car insurance gives a person the financial help for which he can buy his dream car without any problems. It is available to them through a various means like from a financial company, bank, online finances or personal finances. It is the choice of the borrower that by which means he wants to take the finance and it also depends on the type of car which he wants to buy. If a person is going for a used car then it should not be used more than 5-7 years. After that time, the market value of the car goes down and hence there is no use of buying a car after that period. Cheap car finance can be obtained with or without pledging collateral to the lender from whom he would borrow the finance.

If a person is pledging collateral to the lender then it is called a secured car finance otherwise it is an unsecured car finance. It depends upon the requirements of the borrower that which type of finance scheme he wants. If he wants a low rate of interest with a fixed monthly installment scheme then he shall pledge collateral to the lender and sign a deal of secured car finance. If he thinks that he would not be able to pay monthly installments every month then he can opt for unsecured car finance. But the rate of interest in an unsecured can finance is very high as compared to secure car finance. But both these finances are very cheap if we compare them to other finance schemes available in the market.

NetCars, one of the UK's leading motoring websites for http://www.netcars.co.uk/ First established in January 2000, it provides http://www.netcars.co.uk/carfinance/ , finance and warranty.BLACKSANDhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03539499768565218153noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1494119669028869238.post-17957017839016761412009-11-30T14:11:00.000-08:002009-11-30T15:07:04.146-08:00Cheap Car Insurance. 7 Tips You Must Know<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 125px; height: 94px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgxVRY1xGkFIwBzXpiyWETZdpxgWW1abjA0vzVm7e81Kx0y0qw1rVkUF972m0J4qtVHPO0XT9GEzFkqMQIALDXoSAXDOhQ7PRvilF2XJq2M_z3xlYDk9YzAE_sWHXOVaL7eXXhyphenhyphenY-ujTXyl/s200/a17a_12.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5410023977413729266" />

With the cost of car insurance becoming more and more of an issue for the average family, there are increasing numbers of people looking for cheap car insurance. But although it is possible to find cheap car insurance, the question remains, is it worth buying?

Everyone knows that car insurance companies are not all equal. Cheap car insurance is wonderful when paying the bill, but make a mistake on the company you select and you could find that the cheap car insurance policy that you found may turn into a nightmare. Cheap car insurance may not turn out to be so attractive when making a claim.

So if you have found a discount car insurance broker don’t just take the cheapest quote that you get. You need to find out a little about the insurance company that is offering the cheap car insurance rates.

And there’s ways to reduce the cost of your car insurance even with the best of companies. Here are some tips for those looking for cheap car insurance to help reduce the cost of car insurance without compromising other things.

7 Cheap Car Insurance Tips

1. Look at your excess amount. This is the amount that you pay first out of any claim. The cost of your policy is directly related to this amount. Many people, particularly those who have had their insurance policy for a long time, have never considered whether they ought to vary their excess. If you have a good driving record and are prepared to increase the risk of paying a larger amount in the event of a (hopefully unlikely) claim you can save money by increasing your excess.

2. Have a look at the type of car you drive. Certain types of cars attract higher car insurance rates. Cars such as sports cars and also certain makes and models that are prime theft candidates cost more to insure. If you are buying a car then find out which makes and models these are before you buy.

3. Drive carefully. Although it sounds a little trite to say it, your car insurance cost is a factor of your risk profile. You won’t get cheap car insurance if you have had 3 speeding fines and 2 accidents in the last year. These things are all taken into account and you should take care with how you drive. It all adds up onto your bill. There are big safe driver discounts available.

4. Considering installing safety and anti theft devices in your car. Again these affect your risk profile. If you have a car that is safer and less at risk of theft it should be cheaper to insure. And if you have a car with certain safety devices now check that your insurance company is aware of these, if not tell them.

5. Look at your policy when it comes to renewal time, don’t just pay. There are some things that you can vary in your policy that will affect the cost. Often there are some things there which duplicate other insurance that you may have that can be eliminated. Be critical, look carefully and ask questions about all these before you renew your policy.

6. Have a look at who your other insurers are. Many insurers offer a discount for multiple policies. If you insure your house with a certain company then ring them up and find out if they do car insurance. Get a quote from them. Find out what discounts they offer.

7. Find a good online discount car insurance broker before renewing. The internet is a fabulous resource. Use it. There are all sorts of discount insurance brokers online where you can get fast quotes from a wide range of companies. Don’t just settle for the same company you always use. Car insurance rates vary all the time. Always get comparable quotes before renewing any policy.

So if you’re in the market for cheap car insurance there’s some ideas for you. Don’t just accept that car insurance is always prohibitively expensive, get out there and do something about it.

For a website totally devoted to Car Insurance visit Peter's Website Car Insurance Answers and find out about www.car-insurance-answers.com as well as www.car-insurance-answers.com/cheap-car-insurance and more, including Online Car Insurance Quotes, UK Car Insurance, Car Insurance Rates and Car Insurance Quotes.BLACKSANDhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03539499768565218153noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1494119669028869238.post-26053683454050984152009-11-26T09:15:00.000-08:002009-11-26T09:17:32.699-08:00Car Modification - Modifying Your Car - A Global Trend

Modifying your car has been a popular pastime for many years. By modifying your car you are able to put your own unique personal touches on the vehicle to make it stand out from the rest. There are many cosmetic modifications that don't make the car run any different, but then that's not the point 90 percent of the time! More often car modification is done just to make your car look better or give it a more aggressive race like appearance. These types of modification are simple and will make your car stand out from the rest with very little work. As for the cost of car modifications, that is an altogether different story. Parts are freely available off the shelf from companies such as Spareco, Koni and Spax. For example you can buy Spax suspension, Janspeed exhausts, Momo rims and steering wheels, body kits, light alloy pedals, leather or led lit gear knobs, Corbeau race seats and even race harnesses.

Getting a new set of wheels for your vehicle is a popular choice. There are many alloy wheel styles to choose from. Another popular modification is having your windows tinted. Tinted windows can help keep the glare from the sun out and also makes it harder for others to see into the car. I.C.E or In Car Entertainment is vital to any car modification project. Enhancing your cars audio is extremely popular and the range of products and options available provide DIY car modifiers with a world of choices. Products to choose from include the popular iPod Car Adapter kits, USB, CD & MP3 Stereos and , multi CD changers, front and rear parking sensors (some have video), plus the leads, tv screens and tools required to fit everything. Leading brands include: JVC, Dension, Panasonic, Connects2, Dashmount, Parrot, Alpine, Autoleads, Kenwood, Pioneer & Sony.

Today car navigation systems such as Motevo, TomTom, Garmin and Pioneer navigation systems are key ingredients when modifying a car. Even satellite or GPS Navigation systems come in hundreds of shapes and sizes. The main types of in-car navigation systems are in-dash mounted navigation systems, portable GPS systems, hand held systems, motorcycle and marine systems and finally the remote navigation systems where the GPS system is plugged in to your car radio for instance. When buying a new GPS system its often better to opt for higher resolution screens as they make the map information easier to see. Large memory and a decent control chip make for smooth and efficient operating, the last thing you need is slow loading and in accurate positioning. Most GPS systems have large touch screens, working with a stylus can be tricky so it does help and lastly pay particular attention to how visible and mobile you wish your model to be. If it's a permanent fixture in your car then bigger models are great, but if you need to take it in doors after use, a smaller model may be the answer. Car security is a factor not only when modifying your vehicle but also when insuring a car with lots of expensive audio equipment in it. Phone you current car insurance company and find out what you can do before your insurance starts costing you more. They will no doubt also require an upgrade to your car security system and there are simply so many companies out there the likes of Viper, Tracker and Clifford. They all sell various systems such as standard car alarms, remote car start systems and GPS tracking systems. GPS stands for Global Positioning Systems. Professional fitment is recommended and car security shoppers should always insist on a certificate of fitment from the dealer fitting the car security system.

If you want to give your car a sporty look without spending a fortune you can have racing mesh fitted for the front bumper of your car. This looks good and can also improve the airflow around the engine compartment. "Eyebrow extensions" is another way to customise your car. These extensions are usually plastic and are fitted to your car's head lamps. You can get these in a variety of colours and are relatively inexpensive. Car engine mapping is also relatively cheap to have done and performance gains can be substantial. It is recommended that you have engine mapping performed by competent, well known companies as they are best able to advise you of other crucial safety features you should improve when doing so. Up-rated brakes being one of them and more expensive tyres make for better high speed performance and traction to handle the additional engine power. Consider upgrading the oil you use in your engine when you have this done and use an high quality performance air filter, fuel filter and also replace all perished water and oil hoses frequently, if you haven't already done so. Engine mapping or chipping is basically re-programming your cars CPU and it is given new instructions on how to fuel your engine. The more power you ask for the more gas / petrol your mapping will request along with other parameters such as increasing the airflow to the engine by tricking the motor into thinking the air is colder, this produces more power. All this power comes at a cost though. Most cars that have upgraded their engine management systems do so for more power, not efficiency and in doing so use more fuel and rev higher too. Cam belts should be replaced more frequently and if you plan any engine modifications have a word with the manufacturers about what you plan to do.

There are many things that can be done to modify a car. An entire industry has been created by the need for body styling, engine tuning, lowered suspension and big bore exhausts. Any part of a car can be modified and making modifications is a statement of individuality and personal style. The most popular cars for modifying are usually small, low insurance group hatches. Always update your car insurance company with the latest modifications to ensure your cover is not withdrawn due to something you thought may be ok which they do not. Other insurances like car breakdown cover and gap insurance cover should not be affected by modifying your car, unlike your car warranty policy which will almost certainly be affected. Give your car warranty company a call and make sure your cover will still be provided before you make any changes.

Popular Cars to Modify

Peugeot

All of the cars from Peugeot are popular cars to modify. The mid-engine V8Ferrari was featured in the original series. The show and the amazing performance of the 255hp GTS made people flock to the nearest dealer to buy one in the 1980's.

There is a downside to modifying your car. If you don't have a specialist or someone experienced in modifying your particular make and model of car, you may be wasting your money. You need to select the right combination of modification to gain the most out of your car. If you select the wrong combination you will have spent a lot of money for nothing. Another thing you should remember is modifications to your car may affect the warranty. It will also make your insurance premiums higher. You also have to be aware that some engine modifications can violate regulations and emission laws. You have to make sure that any modifications to your car are safe and won't disrupt the reliability and stability of the vehicle. Sometimes modified engines are often touchy and require premium fuel.

It is easy to get caught up in the whole modification process and end up modifying the car too much. The rule of thumb should be; less is more. Otherwise you will spend huge amounts of money, which could add up to more than the car is worth. Also, if it is over modified it can be hard to sell and most dealers won't offer a deal to do a trade in for the car. Just keep these factors in mind when you are going to modify your car to express your style and personality.

Enjoy your new car!

Click4 Gap Insurance and Click4 Car Warranty are part of the Click4Group and sell car warranties and Gap insurance direct to the public.

BLACKSANDhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03539499768565218153noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1494119669028869238.post-91796772185101524632009-11-25T06:18:00.000-08:002009-11-25T07:10:18.261-08:00INSURANCE FOR MODIFIED CARSGood deals can be found on websites that compare car insurance but you have to mention what modification has been done on your car, give it a try, click on any of the comparing sites on the page and see if you can get a good quote. The trick is not just using quotes from a single website, shop around and you will find something which might be affordable.

Although many general insurance companies simply don't understand modified cars, some companies specialize in modified car insurance and can find the best value policies.

In general, insurance companies are not keen on car modifications. Some modifications may help to increase the likelihood of an accident occurring with the vehicle, others may make the car more likely to be targeted to be stolen.
There are many things that can influence car insurance premiums on a modified car. The main two risks to an insurance company are the extra value in the vehicle and the increased performance of the car.

Modifying cars can be taken to many different levels, small changes such as the addition of alloy wheels are not likely to impact your insurance premium, especially if the alloys have locking wheel nuts. Similarly, blackened out or smoked windows, (which is still considered a modification) might not affect your premium.

The value of any modifications is often taken into account when calculating the insurance premium and therefore a major modification of your car, such as to the engine will undoubtedly cause an increase in your car insurance premiums. It may also mean that an insurance company will only quote with a higher excess when covering the risk of theft or accidents. Other modifications such as changes to the exhaust, bumpers, the addition of spoilers, changing or lowering the suspension or the addition of, or changes to the vehicles lights are likely to incur an extra cost to the standard premium for the car, but these will be looked at and priced on a case by case basis.

Insurance companies can provide quotes for a wide range of cars with minor modifications. We have a number of schemes which will provide insurance for such vehicles. Insurance companies also have some schemes which can accommodate cars with more extensive modifications.

Unfortunately, kit cars and cars with extreme modifications cannot be accommodated on some insurance companies panel of schemes.

Remember, if you have made modifications to your car you must inform your insurance company of them. By failing to do so, it could be difficult to make a successful claim should you need to do so and could even invalidate your insurance policy.

Drivers should try and avoid modifying cars if they wish to keep their insurance premiums down. The risk that insurers associate to such vehicles for younger drivers is often prohibitive and could make insuring a car extremely expensive.
